A Few Questions

I have a few questions:

Test my water yesterday and had an reading of ammonia at .25ppm

Today I did a water change, about 30 mins ago, how long should I wait to retest my water....the change was 10 gallons out of 75 gallons so a little over 10%...

Also I had 2 turbo snails die, man did they STINK!!!!!

That did it, and after ammonia goes trites and then trates, I IMO do larger WC, I would set up for a 25gal change, I have a 32gal tub and do a 30gal every 2weeks for my Reef tank, but you had a die of, if you did not get them out of the tank, it will still be rotting, if it is a FOWLR I would not worry too much, fish can handle allot more then you think.

You did not say if you have a fuge/sump, if you do not I would wait 30-60 minutes, but do the math, you did 1/7 of your water, so it will drop 1/7 give or take a little.

Tank consists of 2 blue damsels, 1 coral banded shrimp, 2 clowns, and a very small young sohal tang, 1 very young small purple tang, and 2 sand shifting sea stars, and after having 2 snails die, I'm down to 10 snails in all

Get dead LS out of there, that is the problem, decay, more water change. Bob
