A Few T5 pics......

Thought I'd share a few pics of my 55 gallon T5 tank. It will be coming down shortly and it makes me sort of sad......I will be combining it and my 29 gallon into my new 120. The red cap was a small frag from Bullet as was the green digitata(been pruned many times). I got them from him when Mitch from the Omaha zoo was here last year.....they have really grown! I hope the growth and color will be similar with MH. If not, I'll enjoy the glimmer lines I didn't have with the T5......

Great pics, and of course great tank, good luck on the move. I'm pretty sure that's a blastomussa in the second to last pic, if so how well is it growing and do you ever target feed it?

Wow looks very nice!

I'm sure everything will do good in the move and I know you'll love the bigger tank!

Awesome zoos and Blastos! If you ever want to frag some off let me know! :D

Blastos are doing well but they grow slowly......I do target feed them once in a while with frozen cyclopeeze. The ones there are somewhat shaded. I broke off a small piece and glued it to a rock in full light.....to my surprise it is growing faster than the partially shaded ones. I think they can tolerate more light than most people think......another surprise was the blue ridge coral below......it grew really fast withouth MH and my average tank temp was 80 degrees. It's the brown coral shown below the orange zoos and above the green pavona......

sweet! awesome tank and amazing growth!.... tell us more about your techniques.....how often do you do waterchanges what supplements do you use?

Nice tank:) Question, how long have you had your Copperband butterfly?? So far I have been unable to keep them for much more than 6-9 months.

Thanks for the kind replies.......I hope I won't be disappointed in switching to MH for my 120. A Tek 8 bulb unit would fit nice on it too.......

My tank is sumpless and a have an Emperor 400 running on the back for circulation. I have a BakPak skimmer and a few power heads for circulation. I dose DT's 2 or three times a week and Reef Plus two times a week. Things started to really color up when I began using the Reef Plus. I do a 5 to 6 gallon water change every 2 to three weeks. I use carbon 24/7 in the Emperor filters. I also use PhosBan. Instant Ocean has done me well for many years.......

As for the Copperband, my daughter had her in her 135 gallon reef for about 3 months and then she started in on her LPS......mainly her ancanthastrea, symphyllia, and bubble coral. She got banished to my daughters 20 gallon for about 3 months and then came to live in my 55 about 4 months ago. I just love her and am trying to make up my mind whether I want her or my LPS more in the new tank:) I have already found a good home for her if I decide not to keep her. She is extremely personable. She eats (mysis)like a pig out of my hand (pecks on the frozen cube)or out of the water column. Because of this, I am able to surprise her and sneak formula 2 in sometimes:) They are the most exotic looking fish!
