Good to see everyone at the meeting last night. Sorry coralfarmer wasn't able to speak. I hope he's feeling better.
I mentioned to Jason and Jeremy a discovery my daughter made in my tank last week. And for a change it's a happy one!
On a rock I've had for years in the back of a tank is what appears to be a dime size patch of cool colored encrusting Montipora. I've never purchased anything like it nor seen anything like it on anything I've added to the tank. My best guess is that a tiny piece of it came in on a hermit shell some months ago.
This pic isn't great as it's a small piece in the back of the tank, I'm shooting through a wee opening between peach Millepora on the left and ORA Roscoes Blue Tip on the right and it's pretty cropped down.
Anyone have any guesses on what it may be or what it may look like when it gets bigger? I'd be ok with it remaining as it is (only larger)
