A.G.E. Rimless Cube/2 Take 2

I am going to try this again and post pics here (since some take a job to their head and cant take a joke)

I recently moved from Beaumont Tx to Houston and took down my 120 Gallon in wall setup that I had for the past 5-6 years. I am replacing it with a 100 gallon 36”x36”x18” square rimless AGE tank. . I had the tank drilled for a closed loop system powered by a Dart pump going through a oceans motions 4 way.... I built the stand with 2x4’s and finished it out with red oak side panels and red oak stain with polyurethane. The stand is 30” tall which makes the tank easily viewed from above. The stand has 3 large doors that are attached by magnets for easy access from all 3 viewable sides. The lighting is going to be 1 DE lumen Arc reflector with a 250 watt bulb. If I am not happy with the light I will change it out with a 400 watt light and ballast. Other equipment will be (equipment removed from previous tank) a Octopus Controller, ASM G4 skimmer (may trade for a smaller skimmer if someone is interested), Calcium reactor, mag 9.5 return pump, closed loop mentioned above, Probably 2 Tunze Nano’s or vortech’s (I have to sell my 3 regular streams first) and Aquatic Habitats just got my 30” PM sump in today so I will be installed next weekend. All plumbing will be with grey PVC. (most is grey schedule 40 with the exception of the hard piping which is sch 80)

Great looking tank, nice job on the plumbing looks clean. when will you put LR in and start cycling it?

Is that really Starphire? It looks green at the top edge, I assumed it would look clear all the way?

even starphire has a bit of a blue/green tint it is not totally clear.

tank looks great. :)

OK thank's for telling me, I have a tank on its way and I think I would have assumed they didn't give me starphire if I saw green :)

The sides are a little green, but the back pane is about twice as dark green. I have rock in the tank and the light on.... I will post those pictures later.

i think it depends on what kind of starfire glass they use...all the stuff i have seen locally here has a slight hint of baby blue to it, and you can really only notice the colour on panes 1/2" or larger in thickness..anything under that seems virtually clear.. if you look down the pane through the edge of the galls you clearly see anything that is on the other end of the glass...where as with regular glass you can only see about a 1' into the glass, then it goes too dark to see..

Also I am going to add a few more rocks to cover the closed loop plumbing.

Beautiful Setup, crazy to think I may end up with one nearly exactly like that, I love the zero edge light. I have a stealth lumenarc as well to use, love the 100 or so gallon, will skip the 60 cube now as I know I will need the space. Thanks-
