A goby with his tail all fubar

I got this guy a week ago off of a local. Current tank mates are a sixline wrasse, a chromis, a bicolor blenny and cleanup crew in a 40g. Everyone seemed to leave the goby alone so i figured everything was just dandy. The goby was moving around place to place almost every day and then I saw him out of his hole and his tail was completely worn down to the a nub. So I took him out and put him into a q-tank. His personality is definitely now showing, which he reminds me of the blenny.

Will his tail grow back and in how long? I assume he just wear it down from digging too much ftw and since nobody was messing with him. What can i do to speed his recovery? Should I or when should I put him back into the MT?

I would suspect your 6 line as the culprit. They are known to be A holes and many do it behind your back. I would seriously think about trying to get the 6 line a new home.
