1. NEVER leave 90 lbs of live sand in a rubbermaid container with the lid on it for more than 2 months
2. Dove snails and bristle worms can survive anything
3. 7 week old baby's dont like the smell of rotten eggs
4. Once your sand reaches the point of smelling like Yellow Stone National Park it cannot be saved. i.e. dont try rinsing it, you will only succeed in making not only your living/dining room smell like rotten eggs, but your bathroom too. And probably get fowl smelling sand everywhere in the process until you actually get nauseous from the smell and give up. :debi:
Just thought I would save someone the trouble of repeating this. What I should have started this list with is #1 Never move a 100+ gallon fish tank when you are 9 months pregnant because some things just wont get done when they should.
