A Little Bit of Help Please

Some of you know what I do for a living. For those that don't, I take care of a 100 unit elderly apartment building. For the holidays, might end up staying, I'm setting up a 26 gallon reef. I did this with fresh water last year and those that had nothing to do would sit and watch it for hours on end. I have pretty much everything equipment wise, and Janice12 has given me a few mushrooms, some zoas, a 2 headed trumpet and a 6 line. If anyone would like to donate anything to go in the tank, it would be extremely appreciated. I don't want any sps or anything on the difficult side. If you can donate something , pm me and I'll get back to you.

thats a very nice idea! my grandmother used to own and run her own elderly home and i would always help her with them. i will see if i have anything i can donate, i have a small frag of some zoas, but you already stated you have some.

Zoas are fine as they are probably a different color than what I already have. Even if they aren't, I can still stick them somewhere else in the tank.

I'd be happy to donate anything from my tanks that I'm not able to sell zoa-wise. I'll let you know what I have left over when I'm tearing down my tank in a few weeks, and everything that's still there will be yours.

I have Large hairy mushrooms - come and get a few. I have plenty of Atipshia for you, My MOJo"s are pretty - so you can have a few of those as well. Seriously- the Hairy mushrooms ( attached to walls) and some Xenia ( attached to the back wall) are available for pickup in the office anytime. I still owe you for the part you send me for my skimmer.

OK so here where it stands. One piece of equipment didn't work out. My 175w MH ballast didn't work. Does anyone have a cheap ballast they could sell. The old cap/coil is ok since I have plenty of bulbs that fire on them. Here's a pic of the equipment so far.

Thanks and I'll keep it in mind, but I already have a bunch of 175 bulbs from my old set up. Plus this is prety much all softie, and a coupls LPS, so didn't want it too bright.

OK, so I've got the light covered. I'm taking it from the wife's plant room, (a 175se mh). I'll replace hers and have something that will be ok there, (hps). Forgot that thing was in there!!!!

Jesse, I will donate a nice rbta to the cause on one condition. If I ever lose my rbta's I can come down there and take half of that one.lol Should not need to do that but u just never know.

I will have one ready for you in like 2 or 3 months. If interested let me know and don't let me forget.

So today went kinda ok. There's sand and rocks in the tank. No water, but I just did a 15 gal water change on my tank and the old water will go in in the morning. Thanks again everyone. I'll touch base with all of you soon.

Thanks also Jason. I'm glad the nem will be a couple months. With the hurry setting this up, a little setteling time will be good. I'll talk about the pm with you later. I'm beat!!!!
