A little help with Refugium sizing.. Please

Is there a % of total system volume that is used for sizing the ideal refugium. I will have 345g total system size using a 75g refugium, a 65g sump, and 2x150g DT's. This "fuge would be about 17% TSV. Is bigger better considering the additional cost of pumps, rock, sand, etc.
