I have a serpeant star fish in my tank right now and I am wondering if I am good to put a chocolate chip starfish in the tank as well. My tank is a 100 gallon, going to be a mixed reef tank. 5' long tank.

Thanks for your help everyone.

From experience, I know the chocolate chip starfish is a lot more "rigid" than the serpent, so in order to thrive, they require a more "open" sandbed. In the aquarium, they mainly feed on microfauna in the sandbed, but are ~reportedly~ also fairly opportunistic. If you have a large enough sandbed, and do a little research, I think you'll be alright.

thanks guys. I have decided to take a pass on this, I did a little bit of research but wanted to see what others thought. I just had a heck of a deal on one so I wanted to snatch it up if it would work out but I would rather pass on it than ruin my tank.
