So not to long ago I decided to order a few updates to my Canon T5i set up that I got earlier this year...

Here were just a few shots when the new toys first came in. I thought they were fun to share!

Hey, thanks! I'm just hoping I can keep it this way! It's been like this since about June/July. Everything since then has been awesome and growing. Only really lost the 1 Milli... which I haven't been able to keep any yet (tried 2 or 3).

But everything else seems good and it's been a lot of fun.

We made it out to the LFS last weekend and picked up a few new pieces as an over-do birthday gift for DisBeReef.

I only have a bit before my computer gets taken to work. So here are some quick shots just as the lights clicked on. Not the best color representation of things. But you get the idea at least.

We also got a Ponape Birdsnest since our other 2 and our Stylo are doing so well. This piece was much bigger until I cracked 4 small frags off it taking it out of the bag to dip. Now I have this piece, a slightly smaller frag... and then 3 more on frag plugs to grow out and sell or trade back I guess.

This one is orange/red with even brighter orange mouths. The color doesn't show at all in the pic.

Orange rimmed / blue mouth favia. This one is a nice addition to our rock that already has 2 different color morphs of favia on it (down by the zoa garden rock).

And our mystic sunset Montipora that is hanging out on the superman, seasons greetings, spongodes rock.

I'm not sure why this won't display on my end... the mystic sunset may have to wait for a future post as my laptop is vanishing :spin1:

I did some aqua-scape work recently. Moved some of the barnacles that were in the middle in front of the overflow. I then epoxied in a small arch rock that goes from the center overflow to the tower to the right of it. Then I added the soft-ball size chunk of rock on top of it. This second rock still needs to be attached. The two new pieces are just under the return spout and are bright white still.

I did all this to clear up some space around my encrusting Monti rock sitting just to the left of these new pieces. That rock has a Season's Greeting, Mystic Sunset, Superman, and a piece of Spongodes starting to encrust on it.

I also added some floating rock shelves off the back glass. I needed a spot to separate my Space Invader Pectinia and thought a floating rock island would be great. So I got 2, one for the Pectinia and one for the background over on the right side of the tank somewhere. The final placement of the 2nd shelf will come later as the tank fills in and we place more corals and the rock scape settles into a final design.

Pink Cap and Rainbow Monti. The rainbow is kind of browned out. But the pink cap is still doing amazing. Since this pic was taken, it has been glued in about 1/2 way down the rock tower on the left end of the tank.

"Space Invader" Pectinia. This rock has since been rotated 90 degrees, moved up to 2/3rds up the DT, and the Pectinia is glued down on it.

Motinpora Stellata. Definitely a pale purple color. It looks bleached here. It's not... just my bad picture quality on this round. My apologies.

Here's a close-up of the encrusting base action on the bali-green slimer. If you find the bright corner in the top left (sticking up right in the middle-front of the branch in the background). That is the corner of the frag plug that was glued in. Everything that is all brightly lit and in the fore-ground on the right is all new encrusting growth. It even looks like a few new branches may be starting soon!

Here are the newest SPS pieces to go in. Everything else you've seen has been in and established for awhile now. But thanks to the success of everything you've seen, we stepped it up a notch.

SSC looking piece! I'll try to get some better quality photos soon. I did a water change and swapped out my GFO yesterday. You can see the color in here though. It definitely has a bright green hue to the base. Along with a deep red body with lighter pink tips.

Sweet deal! I've been using my Google photos account for the whole thread. It's so easy, until they break it!:thumbdown
