A loose polyp, place it or let it find its own spot

One of the polyps is on the sand bed behind the rock, not so easy to get. There isn't much light where it is. Should I leave it to its own devices or make an effort to grab it somehow and place it?

I always try and get them. Easy frag, ya know? I had three polyps come loose when I moved my mother colony of Fire and Ice zoos about three weeks ago, super glued them to a frag plug and have 6 polyps now! That's always cool in my book.

Try using a turkey baster to either blow it somewhere accessible, or to suck it up.

if i can get to were they are i usualy glue it to a frag plug and let it grow out so i can trade it at a later date. but thats not always the case and most of the time they end up not making it if they are left to blow around.

the turkey baster method does work well if the opening is big enough to not harm the zoas/palys.

I had a whole frag come loose and floated too near my yellow watchman goby and pistol. The zoas were missing for several weeks. When I saw it sticking out of their hole, I pulled them out and reglued them. They are recovering nicely. I'd rather have a frag than attached to the back of a rock where I can't see them.

And he thought he was going to get away.... found him this morining... so im going with catch loose polyp glue grow frag..
