A new 3 in. Maroon addition to tank

I current have 3 clowns, a 2 inch maroon, a 1.5 inch false perc, and a 2 inch tomato. The maroon and the tomato are hosting their own BTAs while the false perc just swims around. The maroon is also a whimp. A friend wants to give me his 3 inch maroon. Will the new bigger maroon bully the current occupants around and steal their anemone or will it just swim around until I add a new anemone?

adding different types of clowns to a tank can be risky. Try taking the 2 inch maroon out and placing it in a quaranteen tank (if you have one set up)...then when you get the three inch maroon, add them both to your display tank at the same time. If they're a male-female pair they should do fine but if not it may be risky. Also be sure to keep an eye on the perc, percs are much smaller and wont be able to hold their own against a much larger and dominant maroon clown.

Thank you the response. I will put them both in the quarantine tank together to see they they get along first. If not, the the larger one goes away. After a few weeks, I will let them both into the main tank and see what happens.

Every clown is different, I had a tomato clown about 3 inches in my tank, and then added 2 reg clowns and they all did fine together.. Clowns can become terotorial (sp) so you might want to move a few things in the tank so they dont become that way.. But like i said every clown is different and have there own personalities, just like everything else in this world does.. Let us know how you make out with everything..
