im thinking about setting up a expansive nano tank.
As of now, i'm just planning two put a Blue Spotted Jawfish and a Helfrichi firefish in a 30gallon cube.
however, would i be able to keep a pair of sea horse along with those two tank mates?

I wouldn't reccomend it. You might be able to pull it off as long as you take special care to make sure they are getting enough food.
Both of the fish you mentioned are pretty docile, but you never know. Seahorses are definatly better suited for a species tank. Also its best to avoid very active fish that are always pacing.

the jawfish should be fine. I have one in my SH tank, and i worry more about him getting enough food than i do my seahorses.

As for the Firefish, I think it should be fine.... Just make sure to use a feeding station.

oh sweet! thanks for the input guys!
what other fish would u guys recommand to put in there? (if possible)

Hi iku,

I would not recommend doing this.

I have always found that tanks dedicated to one species of seahorse only are the most successful and stress free tanks.

If you want other fish, set up seperate tanks for them.

If you have no experience with seahorses, you need to do some serious research on the differant species and their needs first.

Differant species have differant keeping requirements.

I've kept seahorses with jawfish and firefish without issue but never a helfrichi or a blue spot, you have expensive taste my friend. JME
