Todd I belive said he asked ben and klouse and both said no. Don't hold me to that, but I am pretty sure that is what he said.

He said he could not recall why klouse said no, but he said either ben or neil told him tht was the worse stuff on the market. I really would like to try some.

Just looking at what I have, we would be better off getting a group order from premium. Shipping sucks for overnight from California. If we want to start a buy Im good for 2 packs of it. I think they charge 10.00 for a box and dry ice but we would only have to do ground shipping.

If people are willing to wait a week or so, I can get it in Illinois from a store there and can have my sister bring some up with her. It would cost about 22.00 per pack if we went this route.

ya, this stuff is kept frozen and then thawed to feed. it contains pretty much about anthing you could want to feed your tank and then some.

How do I join the Fort Wayne Marine Aquarists Society?

I am extremely interested and have been wondering if there was a club in Fort Wayne, Indiana...I have been in the marine aquaria hobby for about 2-3 years now.

Any info would be greatly appreciated...thank you.

Like Donnie said you are in. We really have no structure yet. But it is in the works. We have only had two meetings. the last one is the first one to involve fish and a tank.

Thanks for the hospitality everyone...I consider myself "in" then!
I am not really into structure anyway...the more loose, the better.

I have read a lot of material on the hobby and am looking to breed my mated clowns - I read the Clownfishes book by Joyce D. Wilkerson - absolutely great read I might add. I am not sure when I will attempt to do so, but those are my intentions in the near future.

It would be great to get into a club where people freely exchanged not only information and ideas, but frags, fish, etc.

If I am ever successful at rearing a species, I will happily give it out to a caring home, especially for a good trade. I have found in my brief time in this hobby that there are a hell of a lot of rapists out there...meaning everywhere you turn, people are asking outrageous prices for plastic goods etc. I know it is an expensive hobby, but it doesn't have to be outrageous...I get tired of paying outrageous prices at the LFS's etc. Some things you just can't avoid, but others are totally avoidable. Like paying $15 for a small fistful of Chaetomorpha macro algae, or tubing or plastic that could be made from PVC from a local hardware store for a fraction of the cost...(Although I will say the Chaeto is great for stabilization in a small tank - and therefore those costs don't bother me so much because it "grows" and is totally beneficial to all affected inhabitants.

Anyway, just a brief rant...thanks for reading!

P.S. I would love to visit Taz's pad and check out all of that PVC tubing he did for returns etc. I would love to make something similar for my tank and PVC is SOOOOO easy to work with.

I have talked with Ben's dad here locally (Petware House) about something I saw on the internet...(Geo Calc Reactor) - he absolutely freaked out and avoided me the rest of the time I was in the store - he went on some negative mantra about the information on the internet - totally weird - the net is a great place to learn about this hobby - I have learned a ton by reading - I think he was just ****ed because they didn't carry it - he then tried to sell me something for my tank, which I refused - which ****ed him off even more. Ben, on the other hand, has been totally cool with me and answers 90% of my questions most of the time. I still go there because they have good stuff.

Daddy and neil are both like that. They will feed you some bull **** if you let them. They told a friend of mine the galss on his 40g breeder wuld melt with his 2 400w MH on it.

Ben has always been honest with me as far as i know. If he doesn't know the answer to one of my questions he will tell me he doesn't know or he will look it up for me.

As for the group order I think lorna wanted 1. I will shoot her a pm
