A Random Act of Kindness

As fellow reefers we always try to help one another but this act of kindness deserves to be known. A very good friend of mine, Trevor Bui (Coralreefjunkie), bought the 72 gallon tank and stand with the sump along an amazing RBTA and the two black clowns from LOSTMYZ. I told Trevor I would help with the transport since he doesn't have a truck and told him he could store it in my garage until we brought it to his house out in San Tan Valley. After we unloaded everything Trevor then tells me he bought it for me since I'm always complaining about wanting more real estate in my 75 gal. I was literally blown away by this selfless act. It's not often that people perform selfless acts and expect nothing in return. Trevor, you are an amazing person.

BTW he gave me the RBTA and clowns also. :)

He is a stand up guy and a genuine person! A great story none the less

Awesome! Congrats! That is such a kind act. It is rare to find such acts these days. Lol, I hope it wasn't too bad to haul and load that setup during the storm. I was the one that came through the door soaking wet.

This is a special hobby. I've seen more acts of kindness and kindred assistance here than just about anywhere else in life. I can remember years ago being laid up after surgery on my foot. Of course, that was the exact moment my office tank crashed due to a power outage. My wife called my reef keeping friends and several actually left work to assist in the temporary relocation of all corals and fish, clean up and emptying of the tank, etc. They held everything for me for more than a month and then helped me rehome things in my home tank. I still think about their efforts now.

Coralreefjunkie, you deserve more than just a couple of thumbs up but...you know the drill.

Funny you should mention that. Since I really don't need the tank as I have two already and don't have the energy to take care of a third, I was going to try and sell/trade whatever to buy Trevor an Emperor Angel to go along with his queen. A complete royal family :)

Very true, I've been a part of several different groups over the years and this group is in the best of the best! After my heart scare last Christmas, I keep a phone number list of people here for family to call in case I am incapacitated for whatever reason. Also, told them if they cannot get a hold of them to just post here and people will come out of the wood work to help.

As for Trevor, he is on my list and he is the real deal! I know he has some health issues and may need our help in return someday. You got my number Trevor!:thumbsup:

OMG! I am blushing. SKAREEF just sent me a text about AZKASS's posting. It's all about pay it forward. Mark has been more than generous with me and other hobbyists. There are countless people on here who have helped me out over the years.

People often say "boaters are nice people" because they wave on the water; I will say those who make that statement don't know reefers!!!

pay it forward. I have PT tomorrow, can you come over and help me do a water change ;)

I love hearing stories like this, restores my faith in humanity. There should be a "slow clap" smiley.

You don't need anything else with that monster you have. Now, my lil pup tank is in definite need of upsizing though....

+1 folks. This is a very supportive and uplifting group.

We will get a emperor angel for Trevor! - The Aquarius
No need Tadeo, he is going back to a reef tank. I on the other hand might want one since the 72 gal might be setup as a fish only tank and would look awesome with a nice Emperor.
