hey i'm tomer and i have a 100 gallon tank.
and i want to make it a seahorses and pipe fish tank.
where can i find an article about how to make it this kind of tank...
and i have few basic qs.
1. can i raise seahorses in a mrine tank... (tem can get as high as 30 deg c)
2.i know they need only live food but what kind od live food...

my english i not realy good soo i cant understand most of the articles so ill prefar if some one can explain me step after step what to do...

1. 80 degrees is too hot for seahorses. Tropical seahorses need 74 to 78, some seahorses need cooler water.

2. Yes you can use a 100 gallon tank.

3. Can you buy captive bread seahorses?

What language do you speak? Maybe someone here can point you to an article that you are able to read.

Swanwillow I understand him/her. I have the same problem but I try.

rasta_fish you can go to seahorse.org and they have a forum dedicated to seahorse keeping. Im a future newbie on seahorse keeping but before you get your first seahorse read all you can. I beleive this is one of the most challenging hobbyist but the reward is even gretaer as reefkeping is for me.

Seahorses don't all need only live food. Many captive bred speciments can live on frozen food alone. Frozen works out to be much cheaper in the long run.

Most popular frozen food fed to seahorses is frozen mysis.

Most popular live food around here is fresh water ghost shrimp.

Good Luck.

have you ordered from them before?

it should be ok to order... have them throw in heat packs and ship overnight, if able?
