A slow build

Have had a Nano up and running for a few months now and have decided to start a larger tank. I have almost everything from when I was in this hobby before. This time I will not have anything that will nuke the tank. Going to be a 55 gallon display with 20 gal sump. Sump will hold the ATO, heaters, skimmer, mag 7 return pump, etc. I will have 400 lbs rock boxed up from my 240. I should have enough rock, maybe. 2 to 4 inch sandbed. Lighting is 2 200 watt MH with T5.

For now I will work on replacing the top trim. The center brace broke. Got the new trim. Will silicone the entire trim to stop the salt creep from happening again.

Dunno what to stock yet for corals or livestock

I don't plan on using all of the rock. I had a 240 gallon predator tank with two 75 gallon sumps. I don't plan on building anything that large again. Living in an apartment and doubt the floor would support the weight in addition to not enough room. Smaller and more colorful seems to be ok with the wife.

put 55-110 lbs of rock in. 400lb would just make it look like a glass box filled with rocks.

Was picking through the boxes of rock yesterday and got some that should work. Total weight will be around 30 to 35 lbs of live rock. Pretty light weight for their size.

Live stock I am leaning towards 8 to 10 green chromies and a goby. Figured that would be about max for the load.
