A. thiellei Breeding Initiative

So, I have decided I am going to try to breed A. thiellei in the CB environment. It has often been theorized that A. thiellei is a mix with a Orange Skunk and a False Percula. I am going to take that theory and try to test it.

Is there anyone else out there that is interested in forming a group of breeders trying to get these fish to spawn?

I have an unique two banded thiellei, but never mated.I doubt unrelated hybrids are fertile?

Based on Fernando Nosratpour's work with A. leucokranos (and some hobbyists that have followed,) I am not inclined to agree. Though in his findings he did find evidence of reduced hatch numbers and survival rates in offspring. Then of course there are the other numerous pairings I've seen in captivity like percula/ocellaris and sebae/polymnus crosses and other unexplained hybrids that pop up from time to time across the Pacific.

I am one who subscribes to the idea that anemone fish are not evolved apart enough to prevent them from successfully reproducing... but only as it relates to reproduction. Domestically bred bengal cats and toygers come to mind. They are the successfully breeding progeny of an accidental breeding between a house cat that bred with an Asian leopard in the 80s.
