Aaaaaannnnnddd...... I think I'm overstocked

I'm not really new to the hobby - I had reef tanks from about 2003 - 2011 when I had to break all down and move to Dallas. Decided that I wanted a tank again, so I ordered a Red Sea Reefer Max Nano and got it set up.

The tank is fully cycled - did about six weeks of curing the live rock and the tank has been up and running for about 2.5 months since then.

The unfortunate part is that I made a newbie mistake and went and bought a bunch of stuff for it and now I think I might be overstocked.

Fish:
Ocellaris clown (bought very, very small as I know they can become bastards when they get older)
Firefish
Hector's goby
Yellow clown goby
Blue neon goby
Monster shrimp goby

Also have:
2 peppermint shrimp (had a couple of aptasia early on)
various hermits and snails
1 feather duster

For coral, I have:

1 head Duncan (loves the light and flow at the very bottom front corner of my tank)
2 heads xenia
2 bunches clove polyps
various ricordea / mushrooms
GSP rock
pipe organ
10 heads candy cane
several zoa colonies

Everything is healthy - water params are good, fish are eating and there's no aggression.

The tank looks full (a lot of rock - >30 lbs), but coral is growing nicely and there's a good amount of activity in different parts of the tank.

So, did I overdo it? :headwally:

If your tank is 20G, then you're well stocked, not exactly over, IMO. If you have a 29G or bigger you can probably add more fish. As long you can keep up the maintenance and keep NO3/PO4 in check you should be fine.

I wouldn't call your list overstocked unless you have a 10G or smaller.

Looks just about right to me.

All those gobies are nano fish, those 3 combined probably make up as much bioload as the firefish and clown.

Now how dare you make a post like this without posting pics........

Depends more if feeding than fish imo, but Not overstocked But you will have to keep up
On water changes
