abalone

Can one abalone produce offspring on its own? I bought one a little while ago about 6 inches (the whole thing not just the shell) and i've discovered one about 1 inch. Is it just a coincidence and it came on my LR or is it a baby of the other one?:eek1:

yes they can, i have a bucnh of them in my tank theyare small all under i inceh, the biggest one being just over 2 inches. They are reef safe and love to eat detritus.
