New lights, picked up a pair of the ever grow full spectrums.

FTS, Taken this morning. Still working on coral placement. With these new lights a few thighs are going I have to be moved. I could use some advice, so if you see any obvious changes comments are appreciated.

I have two questions about placement. What are the first signs to watch for with Acans and lighting? I am worried that the ones above may be getting too much.Second, the meteor shower on the ledge above the Acans is bleached which is not a surprise. When I set that frag their some of my lights were down. Now that the light situation is taken care of I am thinking of moving them to about seven o'clock in the pic above. They will be on a shaded edge which I believe is what these like.

My meteor shower is on the bottom in shade. When it's not shaded it gets the bleached look

Any interest in the cobalt trumpets above? If so I will put some frags in the CDP at the upcoming swap.

So, I was looking in my sump very closely to see what kind of critters I had living in there. Quite a few things I have seen before but I noticed something I have not before when I had Cheato. thousands of tiny and I mean damn near microscopic things swarming around in groups. Are these little plankton from the Eco bytes additive? Any link to good resources for learning about the micro fauna in our hobby would be appreciated

Those would most likely be mysid shrimp.

...and the leather your referring to ....is it the one I gave you? If so, I've always heard of it referred to as a camouflage coral. (I think Nook knows it's real name)

It is the one you gave me, just have not found that name in another spot so I was asking if it went by something else.

I'm leaning toward cauliflower colt coral. I believe it's shape is being primarily affected by the fact that is all growing off one hermit crab shell. Point is it is getting big and if anyone wants some let me know and I will cut a piece for ya!

Anyone recognize that last frag from this last swap? Not sure what it is, but it made it and is starting to encrust.

Smoothdog, looks like this thing is about to take off with new growth. I am wondering if it is getting to much light though it has less color but more PE. Too much light or just all the new growth?

This SSC for mpcart is coloring up nicely and encrusting but no new growth noted, maybe soon!
