Aberrant flame angel.

LFS listed it as flame x shepardi. does not look like a hybrid to me. just a flame with weird bars. what are your takes on this?

the body is abit yellowish but could not capture the colour.

no idea on location. arrived in a hawaii shipment so could have came from anywhere nearby.

If it came in from a Hawaii shipment that rules out it being a loriculus/ferrugata cross as those come out of Cebu in the Philippines... they are not in my opinion shepardi crosses... and soon I'll have the genetics to prove it hopefully! It is 99% then from Christmas or the Marshall Islands if it came out of Hawaii then...

That is the predominant color morph from The Marquesas Islands, but it is found elsewhere as a rare color morph... there is currently no collection from Marquesas, and if there ever was these would come in in numbers and not just a single specimen.
