Abnormality on ricordea, any rc experts out there

I noticed this bump on my ric the day after i purchased it. I glued it to a piece of LR the night before. While attempting to glue it I accidentally dropped it on the floor. Could this be swelling or a bruise of some sort? It has been this way for about three days now. If anyone has seen this on their rics before I'd appreciate if you can share any info or suggestions on what it is or whether or not it will subside. Thank you.

ive seen this before. looks cool imo. doesnt seem to go away.

I have something similar. One of the bubbles is about 10x the size of the others, going strong to this day.

by bubbles i mean the bubbles contained in the ric itself, 1 is larger than the rest.

its a bud. your polyp is reproduceing a-sexually. eventually that little nub can pop off and float away. in the wild, if its lucky enough to land somwhere habitable, this is one way that new, distant colonies are formed.

I pretty much agree with keysseacritters. The fact that you dropped it on the floor and were concerned threw me off. But, if you hadn't said boo about that. I'd have thought it was a bud as well.

If it's not, you have a Muuuooootant. Invasion of the Ricordea snatchers. Sell it to the circus. That is one way Ricordea multiply, through budding. It's exactly as critters said and would be fun to have happen.
