Are jawfishes suitable for sps tank. My golden head jawfish like to dig the hole on the sand bed and always change the place

Ther are perfectly ok for SPS tanks, as long as your work will not fall...He may be moving around alot until he finds his favorite place to dig a hole and live...Once they find a good spot they tend not to leave...I know a who's jawfish made a home under his clam. What are you worried about exactly?

Thanks crypticghost!
Actually I'm worry he will make the live rock fall down.

That is possible...But if you have a decent structure he probably will not...Just keep a close watch but they are the coolest fish ever and you will be very happy with him.

It can do two things:

topple the rock work due to digging

aggrivate the sps polyps, keeping them closed, due to extra constant particulate matter floating around from it's daily digging.

Thx, I like this fish very much, because this is the first time I can keep it. I bought a lot of them but when next day I can't find him, may be they all jump out. I got it form a guy who's give up his tank and sold this old fish.

Can I add one more for a pair? Does the old fish will fight new one?
(My English not good, I hope you will understand! Thankyou!!

You should be fine with adding another one...make it smaller.

The second one is rare...All my polyps are out and happy and he is in my tank...as long as the SPS are not close to the sand everything will be fine.
