About to encrust and touch?

Ok I have a descent size tri color and green milli that r well away from each other breaching wise but both have. Encrusted toward each other a lot. Will one die? Will they stop encrusting that way as they get to close? Any recommendations?

They will just sting it out where they physically touch.

Won't cause the entire colony to die though. My quess is the Milli will win the stinging war by a little. The tricolor will eventually grow up and over to shade the milli out.

It is up to you if you want to trim or move one or the other to prevent the whole thing.

About the worst part is sometimes algae will get a foothold where the dead tissue is. The algae seems to feed on the dead tissue where they sting it out.
