well just like the title says i am getting these new guys to put in my 24 gal nc i have the hood heavily modified to accomidate a 70 watt mh 14k astrolux bulb, and 2 36 watt pc 50/50 all these lights are less than an inch off the water surface, and its been running fine and stable for a couple months, no heat problem what so ever, my question is i currently have the following which are gonna come out but before they do will i have a problem?

1 juvi blue tang
1 juvi sailfin tang
1 juvi maroon clown
1 cleaner shrimp

and yes i know about the tang police but they are going to be moved so please spare the lecture, but as for the clam and the anemone will i have compatability issues? im planning on taking out the tangs and the clown and going with some ocelleris clowns mated pair hopefully, and a fire shirmp and possibly a royal gramma, but later down the road....is there a way i should introduce them? like the anemone first so that it can get settled and wont sting my clam? any info would be great and opinions about my lighting is also appreciated

Coming off a bad anemone experience I'll say this: An RBTA or GBTA may wander around quite a bit and in doing so may sting the crap outta everything. You don't list any corals so you may be fine. The clam could get caught in the line of fire but I would expect it to pull in and wait for the anemone to pass by. As long as they don't end up too close together you should be Ok. Make sure all your powerheads, intakes and heaters are totally covered! ;)

As far as the fish go, I can't help. Not sure if any of them are nippers.

thanks thorsky, at this moment i have no corals, so that shouldnt be a problem, im hoping the clam will be fine tho since i have to put them both in at the same time

clams don't get stung by corals or anemone's as far as I know, the only problem you may have is keeping the water quality constantly good in a 24g with 4+ fish, although the lighting is good, there are a lot of other parameters to keep in mind. also, clams and anemones like a tank that's been constant for about 6 months or so, and if the anemone has some issues, you risk wiping out your entire tank if it goes

thanks for the reply organism, i have had the tank up for about 4 months now, but since day one everything has been really consistant, and i waited it out but the way i see it , is that its not gonna change all that much anymore do you think i will have a problem? as for the fish, they are gonna come out when the anemone and clam go in. i'll probably have only 2-3 fish in there total
