About to lose hope...

Well the past 3 months of fish in my tank has gone disastrous...

I started without QT them. Ich+velvet killed off all my fish.

So I did the fallow period 10 weeks.

And now 10 weeks later I put a small blue hippo tang in my 40 breeder. He's tiny about 1.5 inches. THIS WAS 2 WEEKS AGO.

He had gone through 3 weeks of copper at about 3.5. Tested with salifert tester... I then brought the copper down to 0. I waited 2 weeks and looked for any signs of ICH. NONE... Now He's been in the DT for about 2 weeks. And I noticed some white specks like ICH.

Also he's been acting weird, not coming out staying hidden up by the power-heads and overflow box(I heard this is rather normal for blue tangs at first)

So I guess if he has ICH, I just don't know what I'm gonna do... I haven't had fish in my tank for basically six months...

I also understand that hippos are highly proned to ICH...

Please let me know your thoughts,

Charley

Well after a little research. I think I'm going to try the live with Ich method. Build up immune systems etc...

I plan on taking the Blue Tang back to the LFS, and going with hardier species that may be able to survive with the parasite.

I'm definitely going to take it slow. And give it a go. I plan on using very hardy species.

And also a low number of fish 4-5(small)
