guys it's that time of year We're your AC starts working over time......... My compressor went out while I was at work...... now I'm hating life because my tank may plummet I'm hoping for more cloudy weather tomorrow till the repair man comes and installs the new compressor some point tomorrow. Fingers crossed and yes I know I know that's why you should have invested in a chiller.

You should be fine. My AC died last week so I went without Ac for a day. Turned my lights off early and kept them off until I put my new system in the next day. Tank got to 82 but everything is doing fine now. I did put a big fan to blow across the top of the tank to speed up evaporation.

Hook up a fan to blow across top of tank can cool tank as much as 5 deg all i use works great have my apex contolling it

I have a fan hooked up now to the tank. Repair guy is supposed to be at the house by 1 if that changes I may take you up on the offer frank thank you

This is an easy temporary fix. Just take and freeze some 2 liter or 1 liter bottles of water and then place on in your sump every so often to control temp. Works like a charm for Hurricane preparedness for a few days if you loose full power of your house AC.

I actually did this some time ago, I didn't have any bottles available so what I filled were ziplock bags full of RO water in case they leaked and froze them. Worked like a charm

So you are saying that you had it hooked up to a running car to power it?

I have inverters galore and ran the car every 4 hours or so just to make sure the battery was fine. Now I have scotch batteries :)
