ac jr. and dc8 green led goes out

I have a brand new ac jr and dc8 and when I turn everything on the green led on the dc8 blinks and goes solid. Everything works fine. Then I come back to it a little while later and the green led is out and the DC8 leaves the outlets on.
If I unplug and plug back in the dc8 and acjr everything is back on track including the green led.
I am using the default program but deleted everything but the lights and heater states. It works fine for a while. I haven't done much troubleshooting yet but thought you might know what I'm doing wrong? I have it pluged into a dedicated 20amp circuit/1 outlet.

An update: So I let the unit run with nothing plugged in and the Green LED stays on and everything appears fine. As soon as I plug in a device the green LED stays on. All looks good. As soon as the timer turns on the device the LED goes out after that and from then on no communication to the DC8 and everything stays on. I have tested this without plugging MH into the DC8 and just my T5's. I have also checked and the unit is not in manual mode. It is set to Auto. What is wrong with this thing?

Sounds weird. I will check the lights on mine tonight and let you know what I find. Are you able to turn things on and off manually?

Well I have again been watching all day and the green LED goes on and off randomly like a cable problem but I don't think it is the cat3 cable.
I have to do everything by manually unplugging and plugging back in.

Here's what mine does. The green light stays on all the time, except when the unit is receiving data from the auto or manual turn on of a device. When it is receiving data the green light blinks real fast three or four times and then goes back to solid green. I know you will think I am crazy for making such an obvious suggestion, but I would double/triple check the addressing switches on the side of the DC8 to make sure you have the correct letter and range of plug numbers designated. And then double and triple check your programming to make sure it references the exact addresses you configured on the DIP switches.
