ac-pro - firmware revision 2.01

I just bought an ac-pro used and have a few questions

1) the firmware is 2.01 dated 10-01-01. Does this need to be updated?

2) If it does can I disconnect the probes and bring the ac-pro over to my computer and hook up the serial cable?

3) Also can I download the log the same way, disconnect the probes and physically move the controller and power supply to the room with the computer in it?

sorry, just saw the post below. That answered the firm ware question that 2.01 was current

As long as the controller has power through the 9V battery you can disconnect AC power, and the datalogs will remain intact. You can then move the controller and download them.

will I need to recalibrate the probes if I discoonnect them and reconnect them?
