ac remora skimmer pump

i have a hob ac remora with a maxi1200
is there anything i can do to maximize the output of the skimmer
would a larger pump work better? are ther anyother mods i dunno about?

I could never get that skimmer to work properly, some people modded it by adding a larger pump, but then had to mod the collection cup to make it taller.

IMHO the quality control on those skimmers is awefull, some work great while some barely skim....

Put a mag 5 on it, it'll skim.

Be careful with the 5...get the extended cup if you do. I have a mag 5 on the remora pro and might need the extended cup.
