AC2 problems/questions

Hi. I finally set up my aquacontroller. Talk about taking a week to program the darn thing. It took me a while to figure it out, but once I got going it was fast and easy. However, I am having a problem and I don't even know where to start to fix it. I have 2 actinic ballasts and 5 MH running from 2 dual PFO HQI 400 watt and a single PFO HQI 400 watt ballasts. The things that my aquacontroller is currently controlling are:

-2 actinic VHO ballasts (Icecap 430 and Icecap 660)
-fan
-2 dual PFO HQI 400 watt ballasts
-single PFO HQI 400 watt ballast
-powerhead in kalk reactor
-skimmer pump set up to go off for feeder mode
-4 Sequence Hammerhead pumps in close loops

All of my equipment are in different circuits. As you can see fromt he picture below, I have 4 power strips that each is supplied by a dedicated 20A breaker. The fan and VHO ballasts are in a completely different circuit inside the house and so is the AC2 for the matter. I hope this is all pertinent information.

The problem I am having is that the MH4 and MH5, both on different breakers, keep coming on and off every few minutes. Everything else seems to be working just fine. Any suggestions? Reasons? Also, the alarm module keeps going off everytime it flickers on and off. I am pretty ignorant when it comes to this stuff as it is pretty new to me, so no big words or pretty complicated language:lol:

Hey dgasmd:

Nice photos and very clean setup!

What you need to do is to disable "local control" on the X10 modules. See this thread:

http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=602715&highlight=local+control

With such a nice setup as yours and all the work you did to set up separate circuits, you may want to consider going with the DC4HD or DC8 control units from Neptune. They don't suffer from interference or have any of the local control issues.

HTH

dgasmd, that's a sweet setup you have there. Where did you get those BELKIN power bars? I've been looking for them everywhere.
