acan browned out?

I bought some sort of acan from dr macs a few months back and I had placed it in the lower side of the tank out of direct light. I noticed that it turned brown. Is this from too much light or not enought light?

Not enough light. They will turn white (bleached) if they receive too intense light.

I think you are looking too far into this. It just simply wasn't get enough light

Move it up that means not enough light.
