I've got one acan in my tank (125 gal, mostly SPS some LPS, 250W MH w/ T-5 supplement) but am getting a shipment of like 10 acan frags and a few larger pieces tomorrow morning.
Just wanted to get some advice on placement and to find out if my plan seems sound.
I'm gonna dip them in a Bayer dip that I've done for most of my other pieces (2 mL per cup of tank water) for 5 minutes, then rinse in another bucket of tank water, then add to the tank. I'm gonna leave my lights out all day tomorrow. The next day I'll turn on the T-5's, but not the halides. Day 3 I'll turn everything on back to normal, which is the halides for about 8 hours, T-5's for 2:30 on either end.
I've cleared out some room on my sandbed to put the acans. I've got some space that is pretty much directly under the lights and other space that would get some shade from the rock work. Where would the better spot be for them? All of the lower part of my tank gets what would consider moderate flow.
