Acan frags

In fairness to those who requested frags previously, I will offer the frags to them first. If they do not respond by Monday p.m., whatever is left will be made available to whoever else is interested. This thing was a real bear to frag, cutting through a rock-hard oyster shell which broke a diamond wheel and cutting down a 1.5" thick rock to get to the frags. However, I may try and get a few more polyps...

OK, my flight leaves at 2:00 on Sunday (next weekend), so I'd prefer pickups before noon on Sunday or on Saturday. If that's absolutely not possible, please PM me and other arrangements may be possible. Thanks.

Ugh... I have to go to Quarter Horse Congress next weekend Dave... This week is kinda busy for me since I'm taking off up to Ohio... Can it wait till you get back???

Randy can have mine if he wants it. I just ordered a ATO unit and really should put my $20 twords that instead of a frag, even though it is quite nice!
I will still take it if he doesn't want it, just offering :)
 
Patrick, Anthony, lets work something out no need for all three of us to drive up to knoxville. I have already sent Dave a PM asking if i could pick them up saturday so that I could have them by our meeting, if that doesn't work out I might need to get you guys to get mine, etc...

Give me a call or something later this week.

Angela (single) - canceled per her request
Patrick (double) - reserved single polyp per his request
deuce (double) - reserved as requested
Brandon (single) - reserved smallest polyp ($15)
Kafuda (single) - no reply, still have until 10:00 p.m. tonight
Randy (single) - reserved as requested
Don (double) - reserved single
Gary (double/triple) - reserved single (if small one survives, see below, and Brandon still wants it and not another)
Jeff (up to quad) - requested pending response from Kafuda
hawkeye (single?) - requested

All look healthy, with the following caveats:

The double is actually 3 almost-full polyps
1 of the "singles" is actually 3 partials
1 or 2 of the other singles have baby polyps or partials with them (where polyps were on the smaller side)
The smallest is OK now, but I wouldn't sell it "as is". We'll see come Saturday

As you can see, fragging these isn't an exact science. If you didn't get one this go around, there may be another opportunity, although I'm a little reluctant now after a slip of the diamond wheel which I thought was going to result in the loss of my finger tip (fortunately no damage):eek1: I believe Brandon is coming up Saturday, but I still have to confirm with my other half (will get back in touch with him directly), so you Chatt. peeps can probably hook up with him. PP is fine if you want to send the extra $1 for fees (PM me for a PP address).

I just looked. I have no problem giving it up to Jeff. Perhaps down the road I can get in on another frag session. Enjoy Jeff.

Thanks for the frag Dave. Patrick said you had a great nano. Too bad I didn't get to come see it. I thought I was getting a double though?? Oh well. Still a nice piece.
 
There was one double that went back with the Chatt. group, as I remembered someone from there had dibs on it. You'll have to work it out amongst yourselves...

Thanks to Dave and your wife for being great hosts. Your corals are AMAZING!!! Especially your LPS!!! I can only hope to one day have the variety of acans and micros that you have acquired. The acan frags look great, Thanks again.

The frag I got has one almost full polyp and 2 partial polyps and it was $35. The frag you got Anthony was the biggest whole single polyp with the best color and it was $20. Since I was the 2nd person to request a frag and I went up there, I thought it was a fair deal for both of us. I didn't want to bring you back a frag with 3 partial polyps ( one almost full polyp and 2 partial polyps ) instead of 2 whole polyps and you feel like it wasn't a fair deal. If that is not ok let me know and we can exchange frags and the $15 difference.
 
Thanks, Patrick, for the kind words. With enough persistence, anything is possible, although cash certainly helps with these guys. Unfortunately, I've found the prices have gotten even higher in some cases since I started collecting the rarer morphs. I suspect this particular acan I offered will be a moderate grower, so even with a single polyp, you can have a small colony in a year or so with frequent feedings. Larry, you're still on the list and there is still hope, but it depends on whether Randy wants his frag or not.
