acan growth

Hey everyone, good morning to you! I am new to Acans, but have been in the reef hobby for years.....my question is, I bought a beautiful little Acan head that is on a tile, I broke off the stem from the propagating tile and super glued the animal and the tile it is sitting on on a rock, in a perfect spot....it seems to be extremely healthy, the polyp is always nicely expanded, colors very vibrant, and eats like a little pig... now this guy is going to outgrow that little piece of tile, can someone explain to me how he is going to geow other polyps while on that tile, will he just drop a baby polyp to the side or is there some way to safely get him off the tile.....I really love this animal, and want to know everything I should do to help it along....Thanks for reading my rambling, and help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Acans grow their own skeleton so it will just grow over the tile onto the rock. Basically it "buds" a new head on the side and then the skeleton grows larger and larger until the head is full size and the process starts all over again. hth

Thank you so very much, Im really excited to watch this animal grow, they are gorgeous, arent they!!!!!!!! Thanks again.

Fairly new to acans myself but here is a good example of how they bud.
