ACAN help me

i have a unch of acans and i have one that is not doing well. my tank is spot on for mag and calcium and everything else is zero. I have them in a 14 biocube with stock lighting. I have moved it to the 29 biocube in case my bicolor blenny is being a butt. They stay on the bottom of my tank they are not near and coral that could reach them and they are towards the front of the tank. i have them there because the circulation pump moves the water well there. the polyps don't move in the water so i know they are not getting blasted. But all the other acans are at the same level and fine. Its got three polyps on it and the coral of the polyps is fine its like the skeleton is turning white and the polyps are not puffy. they are looking a bit spike like. not sure what is happening if you have any advise please spill it. I love these corals.
the tank has a stylophora, torch coral, GSP, and mushrooms, all of which are doing great

What is your alkalinity? I'd put it in the shade for now.

I have at least 8 or 9 different acans in my tank. At least 4 of them are small colonys of 15-20 or more heads. I have learned that sometimes some of them just don't work for whatever reason. I have lost 2 through the years for no reason, no matter what I did or where I put them they died (both where never happy from day 1). I actually have a frag in my tank now that I have moved all over and have next to others that are doing great that just never looks happy. I just removed it a week ago and dipped in coralRX and will do again this week just in case. That's about all you can do... So my advice right now is to pull it and give it a dip, put back in an area where other acans are doing good and hope for the best...
I am also only saying this since you said you have others doing great, that tells me your water parameters should be good (check those though just in case).

low light and what type of current. I have in in a cave right know hoping it will get better it is really a nice coral would love for it to grow. What should my alk be for these guys? also if it is low how do i make it higher?

did a iodine dip for these guys it hit three of them the other look perfect, its driving me nuts. I did a 5 gallon water change to remove anyhting that was upsetting them.

Water change is a good idea. When you say mag is spot on, you mean it is 1350+?

Low light is ok, but not in a cave. I think near the side of the tank with some lighting should be ok. Once moved, just leave in that spot for a few days. That worked for me and hopefully for you too.

My alk is 161 ppm, my mag is 1400 (just tested it today) my calcium is 420 (just tested it today) any ideas?

161 ppm hanna? 9.0 dkh I assuming.


Your parameters are very good. I think the acan is weak because other corals in your tank are doing well. Just move it near the front glass with moderate lighting and see. Sometimes it is best just to leave it.

I haven't sprung for the hanna yet I am using red sea for mag and calcium my kh is still api at the moment.
