Acan Lord Head Splitting

Hi RC

I have this acan lord for some time and polyp very healthy

However today I saw something wrong with one of the heads. It was like from mouth it is folded but after a few hours I saw something is coming out like a gold shell and cutting my acans head

Any suggestions what is going on?

To my knowledge, acans do not split but bud new head at the base of the polyp.

Solved

He was exosting this plastic disk!!! No idea how it come to tank and he ate it

Are you sure it is a plastic disk? That looks like the operculum of a snail.

Yeah, I have a couple of those in the rockwork of my tank
