Acan not doing good.

I bought an Acan about 3 weeks ago. has about 20-25 polyps on it, it was doing great. i put it in my tank and it looked great for about 2 days , then it wouldn't inflate very much, then not at all. in the mean time it started putting its tenticles out at night less and less. to top that off every once in a while i see it spray out it's guts time to time. i don't know what that is called but know it's not good. My tank is a 55 with 4 t-5's over it. My # are great and i have a # of SPS and LPS frags that are showing great growth. My thought is the T-5 are brighter then what it was under so ishaded it some. could there be something else?

Are you direct feeding at all?

How is the water flow around your acan. Is it too much? If it is, try moving it in an area of lower flow.

I'm going through the same problem, try feeding it and checking the flow around them. I put them in a different spot with lower light for now. I had mine for over 5 months, looks like that after I upgraded to a bigger tank.

i am feeding it. it does come out to feed but just barely. the flow around it is medium to strong, and lighting was med till i shaded it a little.

try with low flow, I think I see mine trying to come back, maybe it's just me

Keep feeding and reduce flow (you've already shaded it)...that should help.
