Acans - best placement?

I love but am new to acans. i want them to grow and thrive - but ultimately where is the best place to locate them to do this - sand or rock, low or middle of tank?

Either will be fine but you take the chance of it getting cover if on the sand bed - So I attached mine to a thick flat rock and buried the rock a little.

Mine was one the sand bed and one of my snails buried it. Kinda mad. It's still very small, but it looks healthy after cleaned. Def. attach it to something bigger
