Acans loosing flesh

What would cause an Acan to loose its flesh overnight? I've never seen anything nipping at them, but one of mine had its flesh flapping from the skeleton when I got up this morning. The only change was in my light schedule. Others seem to be doing fine.

Any pictures? What kind of livestock do you have in your tank? How many colonies do you have?

I have a Kole Tang, Hepatus, six line, royal gramma and a mandarin. Red and blue leg crabs for clean up.

I think mike paletta from American reef had a similar problem. He found the problem was asterina starfish irritating the lps. He put in some harlequin shrimp and problem solved.

Wow those aresults stripped clean. I recommend leaving the skeleton in the tank for a few weeks. I have had a acans come back from bare skeleton.

I have left the skeleton in, but it seems to be a target for algae.
