Acanthurus gahhm?

Does anyone happen to have this fish or know if this is the correct scientific name? I bought this fish about three months ago and was told it was a lavender tang. He was about 2 inches when I bought him, so I figured maybe they went through a color change. Well he's about 4 inches now and looks nothing like the lavender tangs. So I went to fishbase and found a pic of what mine really looks like. Does anyone know anything about them?

they get huge and are rare in the hobby... also called moon tail, fork tail

So I should feel lucky to have found one, ecspecially for 12.99? How huge are we talking? Will 375 gallons be okay?

Nice Tang and your 375 should be plenty big.

you ahould feel very lucky. they are very common in the ocean area that they come from (i dont remmeber where) but they are rather rare in the trade.

I'll try to take some pics later today. I read they come from the oceans around Saudi Arabia, not sure which one that is.

i just want to bump it up so it dont fall off the edge... cuz they are sweet tangs.

i just got a fork tail lavender tang. it is sweet. orange dots on the face, body shape of a sohal, and pinkish/purple fins.
