Acanthurus lineatus caught !

Caught this guy this morning in the surge zone off my local beach.
Nice size, although bigger than what I was looking for. Got a really nice green colouration to his anal fin.

Was a bit of luck really. Was trying to hunt down a blackish anampses wrasse (dont know exact type). Kept getting away from me, so decided to circle into the deeper water to let it calm down a bit. Stumbled apon this guy and was able to coax him towards a type of cave. Using two hand nets, I flushed him out of this refuge.

Unfortunately, I cant keep him, he is about the same size as my Sohal, so there will be war if I put him in the tank.
So he will be going into a 400G system of a close friend.

Hmmm, that anal fin really does have a nice green color to it, I'd like to see a picture of it in the water flared out.

My favorite part of clown tangs is the bright orange pelvic fins, they sometimes show.

beautiful fish i guess the sohal is not going to have a punching bag because that's what mine does to all the other fish
