Acclimating new additions to lighting.

Just received a nice frag pack and was wondering where I should place the new adds.

The tank the frags came out of has 250w metal halides with VHO supplementation

My tank has 6 80w T5s and is 30 inches deep with lights about 6 inches above tank

if you don't have a frag rack you can put them on to the side of the tank I would jus put them on the sand for a week and move them where you want them after.

I'm afraid of sticking them in the sand and having my conchs flip them. And no I don't have a frag rack and not sure any of my lfs carry them.

You can make a temporary rack with eggcrate /superglue /and an old glass cleaning magnet fwiw.

I agree on using either the ends of the tank or sand bed to acclimate. I have issues when I think the coral is used to high light and plop it under my t5's. I personally have a frag rack on the far side of my tank I use for acclimation or I mount the coral on rubble and use the sand bed.
