I just bought a new tek-light 4x54 fixture and was wondering how to go about getting my tank used to the lights

My tank is 1 yr old and only had 90 wtts of N.O. In the tank are a sebae anemone some Anthellias and a small mushroom. Fish dont matter i think but they are a false perc a royal gamma and 3 bg chromis also a cleaner shrimp and bunch of diff snails and hermits

Thanks to those who reply

What most folks do is get a roll of screen (like for screen doors) at HD or Lowe's and cut a few (ie 3 or 4) the size of the tank and lay them ALL on top. Then remove 1 every week or so. Also, cutting down the photo period will help some.

You can do what navajo said, or you can put all the corals at the bottom of the tank. Then move the corals up the tank a little at a time over the next few weeks.

Or, you can start the light cycle off with say 2 hours a day, and everyday after that increase the lighitng time by 30 minutes, until you reach the full lighting time.
