acclimating shrimp

What is the best way to acclimate shrip to your tank. I have had two shrimp one made it a week and the other about two days. I drip acclimated for about an hour. Should I make it longer?

i have acclimated shrimp in less time than that and they made it fine. Could be something other than your acclimation process what are your water parameters n such...also do u test for copper?

I do not test for copper. I have not tested for anything but calcium, KH lately. I will test phos, nitrates tomorrow. What is puzzling is that I have not had any issues with any other livestock in my tank, inverts or fish. I have not had any algea issues in a year or so. There was a difference between my LFS salinity and my tank.

something is probably eating them...aka wrasse...aka mantis shrimp...etc

The critters already in your tank are used to the conditions of your tank, as the conditions slowly got to where they are with them in it. Not so for the new guy...
