Acclimating with new actinic LEDs?

I'm currently running 250w radiums (with no actinic). I'm working on a DIY LEDs for actinic (seven 3 watt LEDs). Should I acclimate the coral with the addition of the LEDs? If so, how would you go about doing this (as I don't really want to block the radiums)? Thanks.

Just run them a few hours a day to start and gradually increase the time they are on.

+1 LED's are more intense than most give credit for.

I was think i will start them at the tail end of my light cycle then slowly add. My 2 halides have 30 min difference from when they turn on/off, do you think this will effect anything? My thoughts

Halide 1 off at 9PM
LED on at 9PM
Halide 2 off at 9:30PM
LED off at 11
