Acessing APEX via the web

New APEX install cabled directly to a Linksys WRT610N

All works fine when accessing locally via Apex.com.

Router configured with port 80 forwarding (port tested and open) - DDNS set up through DynDNS.com (tc3reef.dyndns.org / 71.82.97.236)

When accessing 71.82.97.236 it asks for a login/password....I've tried every combination (apex, outer...) with no success. I've reset the router password multiple times and rebooted - still nothing.

What am I missing - It should be the Router login correct? or is there another setting for the WAN login/password? or maybe I missed another setting somewhere?

Thanks much for the help, I'm traveling for business starting tomorrow and this is a new setup - I was really hoping to be able to monitor it remotely.

The Linksys by default usually have HTTP management from the WAN side disabled. It is more than likely from the Apex.

I just tried to access it and could not get a connection. Hopefully you have changed the default username and password on the Apex too.

Looks like your ISP is Charter, which does block port 80 in most service areas.

Change the port forwarding rule in the router to some other port >1026 so it forwards that port to port 80 on your local network. If you choose port 5555 for example, you'll use http://tc3reef.dyndns.org:5555 to access the Apex from the Internet.

BINGO! - I had changed the port forwarding as suggested and reset the router and APEX and it worked :D

Thanks Much for the assistance!

Thanks Tamu - I had already enabled remote management and changed all default passwords. Changing the port fixed the problem.
