I like Triggers

How hard are these to keep? I was told by an expert that these are expert only fish, that need to be kept in highly established tanks. They are by far my favorite tang and would love to keep one in a future tank. I am planning a 240 and would like to put this in there. Tankmates would include an emperer angel, clown trigger, humu trigger, dogface puffer, and a snowflake eel.

They are hard to keep and need large tank with plenty of swimming space and peaciful tank mates and also need good water quailty. They're very skiddish and are dieases(ich) prone and will come down with ich very easily. They usally don't come in the best condition and some don't eat. If your going to get one they take you time choosing one out and QT it for quite some time and make sure the tank has good water quailty and pick good tank mates, CT or Humu aren't good tank mates.

There was a thread on this just recently which if you look it you'll find a lot of the same things I just posted.

i have had mine 3 yrs with no ich. they are hard to keep the quality of water has to be perfect and make sure he is not bullied or he will not make it.
