ACII problem

Curt,

My ACII seems to be ok however... I know I need a new PH probe but... When I have a power failure, which is often, I have to reprogram the date and time. The battery is new, I have replaced the battery and then unplugged the thing. when I plug it back in, shows 0000 hours. It won't keep anything in memory. Any ideas?
If I need to send it in, any idea what the cost would be to repair?

On the AC2 the display should remain active when running on the backup 9V battery. The most common problem reason for the clock resetting following a power failure is a dead battery, but that doesn't appear to be the problem here.
We charge $85 to $185 for service on the AC2; the exact charge depends on what we have to repair/replace. Send an email to support@neptunesys.com if want service, and I'll issue a RMA #.

Thanks Curt. I'll have to find some kind of a backup for my stuff before sending in.

I have the same problem with mine. I have power outages all the time due to construction around me so the battery gets a lot of use. I have found that the ACII will not always show a low battery even though the battery is low. The display will be a little dim and when it switches back to AC or you plug the AC adapter back in it will reset the time. It is funny because you can unplug the AC with the low battery (but not displaying a low battery condition) and it will maintain the time, the display will dim a little, but as soon as you plug the AC back in it resets the time???? I change the battery and it will work fine.
